StorePulse — Privacy policy

This policy describes how StorePulse (“we”, “the app”) handles information when you install and use our Shopify app.
What we process
- Shop context from Shopify: When you use the app inside Shopify Admin, we access your store only with the API permissions you approve at install (for example: products, themes, orders or reports where required for features you use). We use this to run health scans, show dashboards, generate reports, and apply optional auto-fixes you trigger.
- Technical and scan data we generate: We store scan scores and summaries (for example speed, accessibility, schema, and technical scan results), dashboard report snapshots, and configuration you enter in the app (such as a storefront password for password-gated dev stores, or AI visibility settings). We also store basic operational logs needed to run the service.
- Sessions: We use Shopify’s recommended session storage so the app can authenticate you securely.
- What we do not store: We do not store your customers’ personal information in our database (for example customer names, emails, addresses, phone numbers, or order shipping details).
What we do not sell
We do not sell your personal information. We use data to provide and improve StorePulse for your store.
Third-party services
Some features rely on third parties you configure. For example:
- Google PageSpeed Insights: When you run speed and accessibility scans, we send storefront URLs to Google’s API and store the resulting scores and summaries.
- OpenAI (AI visibility): When you run AI visibility scans, we send the prompt inputs you provide (such as brand name, category, location, and competitor list) to OpenAI’s API and store the resulting analysis summary.
These providers process data under their own terms when their APIs are called from our servers on your behalf.
Retention and deletion
When you uninstall the app, Shopify sends mandatory webhooks and we delete the app’s stored data for that shop (including stored scans, reports, and configuration) as required by Shopify’s policies and our implementation. Shopify’s mandatory GDPR webhooks are also supported.
